The Story Centre is an environment that celebrates stories and storytelling. It is part of Artworks Cultural Centre on the magical isle of Waiheke Island, located in the Hauraki Gulf, Aotearoa.
The Centre is a unique creation. It contains a ‘library’ of story resources from around the world and operates as both a workshop and performance space. During the last four years the Centre has hosted well over a hundred story related events, activities and public performances. These include school holiday workshops, festivals, term time classes for adults and children and special events.

The Story Centre is the ‘HQ’ of the biannual Waiheke Festival of Story held over the June Queen’s Birthday weekend. The next festival will be held in 2012.
