Story-o-phile and frock-o-holic Tanya Batt resides on the mythical isle of Waiheke, in the Hauraki Gulf, Aotearoa, New Zealand. The ‘Once Upon an Island’ Story Centre is her unique heartful creation. Dubbed the ‘story centre of the universe’, it is a physical space for the audible art of story making and telling. The Story Centre in the ‘HQ’ of the Once Upon an Island Waiheke Storytelling Festival, held over the Queen’s Birthday Weekend of June every two years.
